About Me

Born in the birthplace of Carnival and the Rainbow country of the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago, I'm a fun loving guy who is fortunate enough to be addicted to art, traveling, dogs, food and photography. In truth, I've found them to be passions in my live and thus they occupy much of my time.

My family migrated to the US (Brooklyn, New York) when I was about nine years old. I had a very modest upbringing and worked extremely hard to get well educated and be the professional and entrepreneur I am today. I am proud to be a first generation college/graduate student and the first in my family to own their own business!   

 

I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Community Development & Applied Economics from The University of Vermont in Burlington in 1996. I was incredibly involved in student leadership in High School and College and it seemed like a natural progression for a career. I pursued my Masters of Science in College Student Development & Counseling from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and graduated in 1998. Upon completion, I moved to San Francisco, CA and started my first job at San Francisco State University. I have since worked at the University of California, Berkeley in Berkeley, CA; the University of San Francisco, San Jose State University in San Jose, CA and CSU East Bay in Hayward, CA. I even had a small stint in Marketing and Recruiting for a personnel agency (Wollborg/Michelson Recruiting) during the dot com boom of the early 2000s. Today, I juggle being a college administrator and owning my businesses. It's a lot less glamorous than it sounds.

I've lived in the Bay Area of Northern California for over twenty years and call it home! Its proximity for travel (three airports) has been perfect as it has allowed me to travel to Thailand, Indonesia (Bali) and Mexico regularly. Domestically, living in Northern California has allowed me to easily travel to and fall in love with a couple of places: Palm Springs, CA, Maui, HI and Las Vegas, NV.

 

Travel has changed my life for the better, it's all I think about, lol! I want others to experience the travel bug the way I do. I want others to find their passion(s), but most importantly, I want all of us to find what makes us happy! I want to help everyone's soul feel fulfillment! I believe travel can do that! Aside from traveling, I hope to publish my first book within the next year and one day, one day, muster up the courage to get on stage and do some stand up comedy!
